As the nation's leading evaluator of patient safety and health care quality in organizations, The Joint Commission has more than 50 years' experience in promoting patient safety and high quality care for individuals seeking care in health organizations.
Achieving Joint Commission accreditation was and remains a team effort. Every employee at All Island Gastroenterology & Liver Associates, P.C., has a role in making sure that we provide the best care possible.
The Joint Commission introduced office-based surgery standards in 2001 to provide oversight for small practices performing invasive procedures. The educational experience the surveyors provided was invaluable to our facility.
As a demonstration of our commitment we encourage our patients to inform us of any issues that may assist us in improving our care.
